Ulimit and ssh

Hi!

I have noticed a rather curious behaviour concerning 'ulimit' and 'ssh'.
If I telnet to a AlphaServer 'nofiles(descriptors)' gets set to 4096 (same
as maxusers) however if I use Secure Shell for the same operation it gets
set to 64. Quite a difference. Same problem with stack size. Telnet in and
I get 2097152 as stack size. Use 'ssh' and I get 8192 which I can't even
change to 2097152 since I get an error message that I can't 'exceed hard
limit'. Anyone else who has experienced this and knows how to solve it so
'ssh' use the values supplied by the kernel?

/Eskil
