SUMMARY: ssh for 4.0b?

Thanks to all the quick responses... Turns out the tar.gz includes server
& client.
I installed ssh-2.0.9 which is apparently not backwards compatible with ssh
1.2.x
And the readme for ssh-2.0.9 neglected to remind me to start the sshd
server daemon.
The readme for 1.2.26 is much more detailed.

ssh-1.2.26 (both client and server) is the last of the 1.2.x line
and ssh-2.0.9 is the new version, which is apparently not backwards
compatible with ssh 1.2.x
