Problem with sendmail

Hello fellow Alpha Managers:

This question involves sendmail 8.8.8 on a clustered pair of AlphaServer
4100s with unpatched Digital Unix 4.0D. There is one particular user on
this system whose e-mail is being forwarded to a non-existent address on
one of our other systems. The trouble is that this user has no .forward
file. There is also no entry for this user in the system's alias file. I
have checked sendmail and everything else I can think of, including doing
a grep for this person's loginid all over the system. I can finger this
account, log in, send mail correctly, but this account cannot receive mail
due to this forwarded mail problem. The user's home directory also looks
fine. We have had no other reports of this type of problem. I am stumped!
Any suggestions on how to stop this forwarding will be appreciated.

Thanks
