Thank's to all of you who replied. The best solution in my case is (Davis
[Davis_at_Tessco.Com]>suggestion):
You will probably have to boot from the distribution OS cd to fix this.
Once booted, select unix shell:
DO NOT RUN mkfdmn!
# mkdir -p /etc/fdmns/root_domain
# ln -s /dev/<boot disk device> /etc/fdmns/root_domain
# mount root_domain#root /mnt
# cd /mnt/etc/
# mkdir -p fdmns/root_domain
# cd /mnt/etc/fdmns/root_domain
# ln -s /dev/<boot disk device> .
Now look around and see what else is missing. You may be better off
restoring from backup if fdmns isn't the only thing missing.
Once you have the fdmns link back on the real root disk, you may boot to
single user and mount the root rw
# mount -u root_domain#root
Then use advscan to find and remake any other missing domain links.
DO NOT RUN mkfdmn!
