Hello
I'm running an Dec Alpha with v4.0e (enh. sec and NIS SERVER).
i want my Sambapasswd to call passwd to
change the users password as he changes his password with
samba.
The main problem in this task is that passwd(as root) can't change a users
password.

As the manuals state that i have to use dxaccounts for this task, this isn't
possible, as i want sambapasswd to call this program.

As i searched this mailinglist i found an old entry from
1995 where this problem seemed to be unresolved.

Is this a bug from Tru64 passwd (<> yppasswd) program.
Or is this the wrong one to use when changing passwords for users as root
without knowing the old ones.

Please HELP !!
