Sorry for the delay in posting this summary.

Unfortunately no one on the list was able to give a definite reply. Compaq
support were unable to state for certain whether the system V printing
configuration should lose its printer configurations after an upgrade.

The recommendation is to save the following files before the upgrade, delete
the SVE subsets, perform the upgrade and then restore the saved files.

1) Save all of the files in /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/interfaces/*

2) Save everything under /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/printers/*/*

3) Save the /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/Systems file.

4) Save the /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/filter.table file only if it differs from
filter.table.i

5) Save the /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/users file if it exists.

6) Save anything under:

        /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/classes
        /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/forms
        /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/pwheels

7) Save anything other than "standard" under /usr/opt/svr4/etc/lp/model

8) Save the directory structures (there are some .* dirs) under:

        /usr/opt/svr4/var/spool/lp/requests
        /usr/opt/svr4/var/spool/lp/tmp (except the file .SEQF)

9) Save the file /usr/opt/svr4/var/spool/lp/system/pstatus
