Byte swapping on Digital Unix

Is it possible to make a Alpha System run in the same endian mode
as a sparc under Tru64-Unix? We are dealing with a real-time compressed
ticker feed and we are having to byte-swap either on the sun or the
alpha. Any suggestions?
