For the first time last night I tried to backup a filesystem on a 4.0E
machine (we mainly run 4.0D at the moment).
The filesystem is NFS mounted as it is exported from a TruCluster, and
we've being doing this for some time and getting adequate results.
On the 4.0E machine I get these messages:-
vdump: Dumping directories
vdump: Dumping 111724035 bytes, 82 directories, 5365 files
vdump: Dumping regular files
vdump: can't reset atime for <./quota.user>; [22] Invalid argument
vdump: can't reset atime for <./quota.group>; [22] Invalid argument
vdump: can't reset atime for <./.Desktop>; [22] Invalid argument
For every file on the system. However the backup appears good. (haven't
tested it yet)
The NFS file system is exported with root access and no special options
are given to the advfs mount on the server. (just rw)
Is this a new 'feature' of 4.0E, if so how do I make it shut up!?
Regards,
Jonathan
