Hello,
I know this isn't the best list for Networker, but ....
We do manual backups on a Digital AS4100, Tru64UNIX
4.0D, Networker 4.4, and then execute a command line #savegroup -O -G -P
rlp$printername. The savegroup failed the index with an exit code 9, the
bootstrap succeeded. I looked at the indexes and it was 80%.
I followed this with a nsr_shutdown and nsrd and nsrindexd. The nsrindexd
hangs, and nsrexecd is not running. When I invoked nwadmin, it can't find the
host and assumes the host I want. The second host is never used. When I
updated clients, it only took the second client, not the 1st desired host.
I've checked the pathing /var/nsr/index/qad1(1st host name) and there is a db
file there.
Now I have no access to the desired client. Is there something wrong with the
indexes, and is there a command line I can run to repair them? Or something
else to do with the client? My last resort is restoring a a vdump of /usr.
But hopefully, I can repair this with Networker commands.
Any Help is greatly appreciated! Of course, I will summarize.
