Not the answer I wanted but very timely ...

* Dr. Tom Blinn:

You seem to be assuming that the PMAG-D PXG graphics adapter is a supported
device in Tru64 UNIX V4.0E. In fact, support for that device was retired
out of the product some time ago.

* Pat Lambert - Compaq Services:

All support for PXG graphics ended with UNIX 3.2g. There are no drivers for
PXG graphics cards after this version.

* Also thanks to Phil Antonie who had a similar experience.
