Being home, away from all my usual tools, I just got beeped by my office.
I just did quick look at the archives, and read the Tru 64 year 200 page.
We were called in a panic by a potential customer with an AS 800 running
V4.0d with PK2.
My memory tells me that Patch Kit 3 is the least version which is Y2K
compliant, but I can't find a reference from here. I also believe that
the final two issues two issues fixed to achieve Y2K compliance were some
at issues and some fairly rare issues of strf function operation.
The nub. These people were assured by their HW vendor that they were Y2k
compliant with their current set-up. The principle of this company spoke
to one of our customers who said "Call These Guys".
After a short conversation, I have some other issues to investigate for
them, like their Oracle database (the principle wasn't sure what version
thay have), and then recommend a course of action for them.
I can always charge them money and install PK3 or PK4, but I'd rather not
do that if not necessary.
So, after a long-winded inroduction to the question:
Is V4.0d with PK2 compliant with the Y2k issues known?
The Tru64 year2000 page only states that V4.0d is compliant with the
most current patch kit. And it has said that since at least PK3. I do
not remember what it said earlier than that.
