Serial console on a XP1000

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my XP1000 (running DU4.0F) to a console server
(stallion multiport card installed in a linux machine) through the
serial port. Everything looks good as long as the machine is in the
SRM-console (am able to set parameters and make the machine boot with
the "boot" command, through the "console" program on the linux box, i.e.
have full console access). But when the machine starts to boot the
connection is lost at:

jumping to bootstrap code

The system boots up however and it behaves as it should except that I
don't have any access to the console. The monitor cable, keyboard and
the mouse are not connected. Have tried to change to the other serial
port, with no change in behavior. Have also explicitly typed
"set console serial" at the prompt.

I have put an Alpaserver 1000A and a PWS 433au (both
running DU4.0E) on the same console server - everything functions as
it should with these two.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what causes the problem? I have
not changed any settings in the OS.

Regards

Halvard Moe
