Large Files after reading a Tape !!!!!

 I have noticed the following changes in the size of the following
files after reading a data tape of 2Gb:

 -rw-r----- 1 root operator 137438928896 Jan 11 11:47 quota.group
 -rw-r----- 1 root operator 137438928896 Jan 11 11:47 quota.user

   How can I correct this? The Tru64 OS version is 4.0D.
