NFS or samba problem

Managers,
We have a very strange NFS setup between two of our servers that has
lately been causing the following errors in
/var/adm/syslod.dated/<date>/daemon.log on the NFS server.

Jan 13 07:54:12 servera lockd[14284]: Can't create client handle to
serverb.my
.net NLMv4: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Timed out

The NFS server (server A) is exporting a directory to the NFS client (server
B) and then server B is sharing the NFS mount with Windows clients via
samba. This is done in order to prevent the Windows clients from accessing
server A directly. I am not sure if this is a samba problem or NFS. The
Windows users are able to browse the exported directory but when they
attempt to open a file, there appears to be nothing in the file, when there
really is. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Allen Belk
