Problem with cron file entry

I recently set up an account on one of our Tru64 Unix 4.0f servers
to run some cron jobs, but its not working. The same job that used
to run fine under the root account's crontab entry fails to work as
a crontab entry under this non-root account, despite the fact that the
sh script that's invoked has the proper permissions set. Does anyone
have any idea on what I need to do in order to get this to work?

Here's the error message I am receiving:

sh: Makefile: execute permission denied
