All,
I am new to the list, and relatively new to Alpha Administration. We are
preparing to move our Clarify Installation from SGI to Tru64 v 4.0F and I
have a couple of questions about using multiple Ethernet connections.
1. I have a 4 port Ethernet board, and the single port Ethernet board that
came with the system. Is it possible to use both cards to have 5 Ethernet
ports?
2. I am wanting to do load balancing across the 4 port Ethernet card. Is
that possible? We are using extreme networks routers, and have the
capability to do it on the router, but we cannot use that capability if the
OS cannot support it. If the OS cannot do it, is there a software package
either from Compaq, or a third party that can be used to make it work?
