Original message:
A short time ago, upon trying to telnet to one of my servers I got
the message: no available network ports. Does anyone no where
this message comes from and what parameters affect it? The number
of running telnetd processes at the time was about 10. Subsequently,
after killing some stale telnetd processes, the message did not
appear even with as many as 14 telnetd processes. I imagine that
there are other processes which may have been tying up network ports,
but which?
