Follow-up: MAC CRC errors on FDDI card

After looking at all of the servers on our FDDI network, I've identified one
of the two MAC addresses from the error (DA: 08-00-2b-b9-f9-c0) as the FDDI
card on the server throwing the errors; but I can't find the other MAC
address anywhere else on the network. Could this be the MAC address for the
hub? If so, how would I check it?

The card in the server is a DEFPA and the hub has the name "DECcontcentrator
900MX" on it.

Thanks,

John

We've got /var/adm/messages filling up with messages like this:
Jan 17 00:03:46 merlin vmunix: fta0: MAC CRC Error: DA: 08-00-2b-b9-f9-c0 =>
SA: 00-00-f8-b8-47-7a

The server is an 8400 running 4.0d PK5.

This server is also our Networker Server and backs up multiple clients over
the FDDI network (using fta0). However, I'm not seeing corresponding errors
on the Legato Clients.

I thought I would ask the opinion of the list before I give Compaq a call.

Thanks,

John
