Summary: Problem with DEGPA-SA...

My original question:

I'm trying to set up an AS-ES40(running 4.0F/patch kit 1) which has this
adapter(DEGPA).

However the CD install kit I received with my ES40 that includes the
DEGPA drivers requires obsolete subsets(OSFHWBASE425 and OSFHBASE427).
I have OSFHWBASE440 installed so the setld load bombed.

Anyone have a solution to this?

Maybe you don't need that. The SPD seems to say support for your DEGPA is
built into the OS.

But I really don't know for sure. We don't use GigE.

And from: tpb_at_doctor.zk3.dec.com Dr. Tom Blinn

I believe that the DEGPA driver is already built into the V4.0F kit.
I'll check with my colleague who wrote it. If that's the case, then
you don't need to load anything except the stuff from the V4.0F base
install CDROM, and all the relevant pieces are probably already on
your system (they'd be in OSFHWBASE440).

I suspect the CD install kit you got was created BEFORE the V4.0F OS
kit existed, so it may not have instructions that tell you that you
don't need to add anything, just reboot with your /genvmunix kernel
and build a new target kernel (with a bare "doconfig" to get a new
config file).
