Hi every body,
Our Digital Unix Computer:
Model: Alpha Server 1200 5/533 DA-54KHC-DA
CPU: 533 MHz
Cache: 4 MB
RAM: 1256 MB
Hard Drive: 9.1 GB x 7 = 63.7 GB
Operating System: Digital Unix 4.0 E

I already installed the Pine 4.10 on our Unix computer. It only works for
this computer (send mails between users in this computer) but it can't send
mail to and receive mail from the users who are outside of this computer. I
think the network configuration is OK because I can telnet and ftp to it
from other computer.

Question:
How can I set the E-mail server and let it work to communicate with other
computers?

Answer:

Pine is a mail USER agent (why did you use 4.10 when 4.21 is out ?). It does
ITS job. To send mail outside pine relies on a smtp mailt TRANSFER agent,
which usually is sendmail.

Run mailsetup as root and configure it.
