Hello all,

I am trying to make a recovery tape using btcreate and I have been
unsucessful in restoring the files that I backed up when I created the
Bootable tape. Here is what I am doing:

I am running btcreate in interactive mode and using the default values
for everything. I am adding / and /usr partitions. The btcreate creates
the tape, rebuilds the kernel and rewinds the tape. The problem comes
after I boot to the tape. The system will boot to the tape and attempt
to run the btextract utility. It stops and complains with the following
messages:

SYSTEM TAPE SELECTION

Use the following table to enter the name of the tape drive from which
the standalone kernel was booted.
Only one tape drive can be entered.

sh: awk: not found
sh: awk: not found
sh: awk: not found

Valid tape drive not found. Install a tape drive.
No filesystems were extracted. End of btextract utility.

Is there some incompatibility issues that prevent btextract from
recognizing non-Compaq tape drives?

Ohh I almost forgot , I am running Tru64 v 4.0f on a Alpha 164LX with a
667Mhz 21164. Tape drive is internal Wangdat 3400dx 4mm.

Thank You,
