SUMARRY libtiff.so

Thanks Phil. I should pay more attention where I'm using ftp. I was just at the site that Phil mentions below (& didn't notice the down load for libtiff.so). Thanks to Thomas Leitner also. Nevertheless, things seem to work now.

 haven't worked with libtiff.so, but:

I looked in the archives, and found the summary referenced below,
which seems to address where libtiff.so can be found:
http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/1999-09/msg00379.html

The site they pointed to was:
ftp://finwds01.tu-graz.ac.at/pub/kde/tru64_4.0x/dist

Hopefully, this will meet your needs. Another, older, archive
message, mentioned that libtiff.so could be found on the Digital
'Free Stuff' cd.

That summary can be found at:
http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/1998-04/msg00101.html

Best wishes,

--Phil

Subject: libtiff.so

Hello, I'm trying to run kde on Tru64 v4.0D..I downloaded the binary from T.L. & created the .xsession file, logged in again, the desktop came up, but nothing would execute........because of the fact that libtiff.so could not be mapped. I did not see the lib in /usr/shlib does anyone know where I can find it (or have some other advice)? Thanks again.
