The answer is:
1) "normal" inetd can't do this
2) xinetd might be able to, but it doesn't work (yet) under DU/Tru64.
Taking Vangelis's suggestion, I'll forward my changes to xinetd for DU
compatiblity to the xinetd maintainer. Hopefully they will result in
DU/Tru64 support in the near future.
