I/O to tape drives through KGPSA hang after rebooting crossroads Fibre/SCSI bridge

AlphaServer 4100 Tru64 v4.0F, patch 2

SAN Fabric with Brocade Silkworm 2800 switch (BFOS 2.1.2),
Adic Scalar 1000 tape library and Crossroads 4200 routers (F/W 2.2 9912c).

The KGPSAs are emulex LP7000s with 2.20X2 firmware and Tru64 1.12 driver.

Has anyone seen a problem whereby if the Crossroads router is rebooted or
power cycled, then any subsequent I/O to tape drives hangs, eg.

# file /dev/nrmt?h
# scu scan edt

or read/write requests.

We noticed that Emulex have released v3 of the firmware for the card, but
the cards delivered to us are all of the 2.20X2 firmware revision. Does
anyone
know why Compaq seem to be lagging behind Emulex.

We also have a Sun E450 (Solaris 2.6) with JNI FCI-1063 which suffered
similar
issues until we enabled Fibre-Channel Class 2 acknowledgements on the
driver.
Since then it's been fine.

Any info appreciated
