su

I am new to this XP1000 environment. I remotely logged in to the
machine fresnel and tried to do "su -"
and I get the following error. I looked at the "su" permissions and it
shows as below. Please let me know what might be the cause for this
message. I know the root passwd.

fresnel:UNIXTEAM> su -
You do not have permission to su root


-rws--x--x 1 root bin 24576 Nov 13 1998 su
