Problem copying "local socket" mode files

Hello again,

I am trying to copy /usr/var to a new /var partition and am having trouble copying the content (Digital UNIX 4.0F) of the /usr/var/esnmp sub-directory. The files all have the attribute of: srwxr-xr-x. My question is how do I copy them or recreate them in my new /var directory?
