Original question:
I'm looking for a way to turn on and and analyze very detailed event
logging in Tru64 to help us analyze a very strange problem we're having
with smtp/sendmail connections from a middleware product (WRQ SuperNova) to
our Tru64 (V 5.0) server.
Thanks to Richard Westlake for his prompt reply:
increasing the sandmail log levels in sendmail.cf
Option LogLevel or L (for pre V8.7 sendmail)
e.g.
O LogLevel=9
O LogLevel=15
OL9
OL15
Indeed, getting logging levels appropriately enabled from sendmail was the
key to getting the information I needed...which spawns a new question.
New Question:
My mail log now shows the following error when my client tries to send
email...
Feb 25 08:01:32 alpha1 sendmail[45932]: NOQUEUE: Null connection from
alpha1.datamart.fuentez.com [163.228.105.25]
Any sendmail advice on how what config changes can be made to allow
sendmail to queue mail from the client when it runs on the server itself?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
Regards,
Jim
