I'm running Tru64 Unix v4.0D with patch kit 3 applied. I'm running in
enhanced security. A few weeks ago I posted a question about what I needed
to do to enable X sessions from remote hosts. I received a number of
replies that directed me to the /etc/auth/system/ttys file. I modified
that file accordingly and it seems to be working fine.
However, earlier I had only a handful of X terminals I wanted to support.
Now I would like to support a potentially large number of X terminals from
several different local subnetworks. The syntax of the ttys file does not
seem to support IP address ranges (I haven't tried it yet... but I might).
Is it possible to allow X sessions for particular ranges of IP address...
or from entire subnetworks (ie 155.42.13.*)? If that is possible, how
should I go about it?
TIA
Peter
