Changing tape drives?

Hello,

We have an old auto-changing tape drive (Digital StorageWorks model #
SWXTL-BL) that has a TZ87 as its drive. Is it possible to take out the TZ87
and replace it with a TZ88 from a table-top? If so, how? Is it just simple
plug-and-pray?
