Dear Managers:
I am monitoring the performance of a Dual CPU AlphaServer
and have noted while using the ps -ef command that adding the CPU usage
column of the top processes frequently gives me more that 100%.

Other commands
like
kdbx -k /vmunix
(kdbx)cpustat

report a correct CPU usage summatory

But the ps command which is useful to track per process CPU usage
is giving this erroneous results.

Could anyone give me some clue as to why is this behaviour like that.

THanks in advance
I will summarize
