Hi
I have problem getting NIS to work on an Alphaserver 4000. I have
newly installed the OS but I cant getting it to use NIS. 'ypwhich'
says that it binds to the server who runs Solaris 7 and 'ypcat passwd'
and similar works good but I cant log in to accounts using NIS. I
have edited /etc/svc.conf to "passwd=local,yp" and I have put "+:"
last in /etc/passwd and /etc/group.
I have search thru the archives and C2 seams to be a keyword but I
haven't been able to solve my problem. Any hints on what to do next?
Tru64 V5.0 910. Alphaserver 4000.
