I failed to mention in my earlier question that the nfs write timeout
error only occurs during non-working hours. Thats why I was questioning
whether inactivity on the mount point would cause it to be dropped or
go into some kind of temporary off state.
Have you seen this before? Because it works fine during the work day.
Original question below:
I'm getting the following error on my XP1000 running 4.0E. The ffiler
is in fstab as read/write and a df -k shows the mounts. Could
inactivity cause the ffiler to not be mounted? Or is there a timeout
that should be increased? A user is running a batch job, is the pdb
routine possibly being called by this batch job?
NFS3 RFS3_WRITE failed for server ffiler.gat.com : RPC: Timed out
Error calling pdb routine:
ERROR: BYTE WRITE FAILED - _PD_WR_LEAF_MEMBERS
Thanks,
Dan
