advfs rmvol and verify problem

I am having a problem with an Advfs domain. I used rmvol to remove
one of the disks that made up the volume. I ran a verify on the
domain before the rmvol, which reported no problems. However a
verify done after the rmvol shows 3044 lost files (2.5%) and 22
files with an incorrect link count.

Can someone give me an insight into what may have happened and what
the best course of action to fix this is. Running verify a second time
gave the same results and I'm hesitant to jump in with the -f option.

I am running 4.0E with patch kit 2
