High queue depth on device

After running sys_check on our AlphaStation 255/233Mhz server (DU4.0D),
for "Disk drives and disklabels", the output given is this:

Operational: High queue depth on device rz0
This may indicate an I/O bottleneck in the system.

Operational: High queue depth on device rz10
This may indicate an I/O bottleneck in the system.

Operational: High queue depth on device rz12
This may indicate an I/O bottleneck in the system.

How do I go about resolving this "high queue depth" problem?

Thanks,

------------
