Hi,

Once again this list has shown it's great value.
The solution (see question below) is to add an entry '/bin/false' in the
/etc/shells file, and assign user the shell 'false'.

Thanks to all who replied...

----------------Original question------------

Hi all,

Just a small question: how do I create users without a shell under C2 ?
We've done that before (without C2) by entering 'noshell' for a shell (iso.
e.g. /bin/ksh)
For one reason or the other C2 doesnt seem to accept this while creating
it's databases...

We're running True64Unix 5.0 PK 2 on a DS20 (previous system was DEC 3800,
DU 4.0D)

Any help is very much appreciated...

Marc
