I am going to do a fresh install of the v4.0f on one of my alpha servers
and I have some questions.
1. We are running Oracle 8.1.5. Is it certified to run under v4.0f?
2. The last time I upgraded the operating system I had to do something like
rebuild the Oracle kernel. I had instructions how to do that but can't
find them. Do I still need to do that and if so does anyone know how to do
it.?
3. I recently did a fresh install, on another system, which we use for
testing, from 4.0d to 4.0f. I had to update the firmware and rcu and
ecu. After running ecu I lost my graphics on the console. What I mean is
before running ecu I could had the gui interface on the console. I did
something and now I only have a textual interface on the console. Can
anyone guess what I may have done and how to avoid doing it again? As I
said it is a test system so it isn't super critical I have the gui on it
but I don't want to do it again.
4. I think I have remembered all of the files which I have modified so I
can make those changes on the fresh install. Can anyone give me a list of
files I need to make sure to keep?
Thanks for your help:
