new machine

Hi,

My boss just asked me to spec out a new machine to replace a Alphaserver
1000A. I was hoping to get some suggestions. The AlphaServer 1000A has
192M memory and 9G disk and runs 4.0E. I have another 9G storage works
drive waiting to be installed. Do I have to get new drives in the new
machine or can these storage works drives be moved from the old to the new?

I was hoping to get the latest Alphaserver and an Intel machine. I would
like to get the FrontPage extensions off the AlphaServer 1000A and put in
on the Intel instead.

I haven't used clustering or RAID. Should I look into these options? The
machine is mostly a web server, but users have telnet access. The other
big use is pine for reading mail off the email server and SAS.

As you may have guessed, I not very hardware savvy. All suggestions are
very welcome.
