not ready for a summary yet. we are on the new isp and web browsing
works fine. but mail does not, nor can the outside world see our web
pages. the topography looks like this:
our isp-> isp provided router-> MS Proxy Server-> internal network.
i'm thinking there is something not setup right either by the isp
or the MS Proxy Server. (there is a network manager that handles the
MS product network components-not me! i only handle the unix systems)
my alphaserver seems to be working just fine. my question is: do i need
to mess with sendmail or anything to make the new scheme work, or should
that MS Proxy Server do the relaying on ports 25 and 80 without
interference from me or my fine DigiPaq equipment? tia
