Saving ARC NVRAM on AlphaStation 200

Sorry to post this hardware related question here, but I tried
comp.sys.dec with no success.

I am trying to upgrade from an AlphaStation 200 4/100 (100) to
an AlphaStation 200/4/233 (233) running Windows NT Server 4.0.
My plan was to save the firmware configuration from the 100 and
restore it to the 233, moving the hard disk and video card at
the same time. The intention is to upgrade without having to
reinstall the O/S.

I downloaded NVBKUP Version 1.1 from
http://www.compaq.com/support/files/alphant/drivers/index.html
and ran it from the ARC console of the 100 and it reports an
error about being "Unable to open the Environment Log". Have you
run across this problem? Is there a better way to move from one
machine to the other without a re-install?

I don't want to invest time and money in this move as I will
eventually move to an Intel machine given that Alpha NT is no
longer an option.

TIA,

George.
