Hello,

so quickly! Here is a summary:

From: Oisin McGuinness <oisin_at_sbcm.com>

>From about 75% through "man vi"
   <Ctrl-v>
       Quotes a nonprinting character.

More details:

In vi:
i (for insert mode), or a (append mode)
Ctl-V (Control-V, to escape next char)
ESC (Escape Key, F11 on DEC keyboards), inserts what looks like ^[
more literal text
ESC (leaves insert or append mode)
:w (writes file)
:q (leaves vi)

(I know this message in UNIX, ALWAYS check the MAN pages, FIRST!!!!)
