I have been tasked with installing Oracle 8.1.5 on my 2-member Alpha cluster
running Tru64 Unix 4.0F (patch 3) and ASE 1.6. The cluster consists of 2
AlphaServer 1000A 5/500's with an HSZ20 on a share SCSI bus. I am going to
create a new disk service for the Oracle databases. My question is where do
I install the Oracle software? Can I install everything on the disk service
or do I need to put the server software on each local drive and then put the
database files on the disk service?
Thanks for any advice for this Oracle newbie.
