I have been looking into writting a driver for a Sound
Blaster sound card for Tru64. It's going slowly,
however I did come across some interesting
information.
4Front Technologies, who make a sound driver
replacement for other Unix's, would be interested in
making a port if enough people are interested. They
said that they would like to see atleast 500 people
sign a petition, which would show them that there is a
market for their product. The good thing about this,
is that a lot of sound cards would be supported,
making it easier for owners of cloned Alphas to have
sound. Well let me know if there is enough people
interested, and I'll start a petition.
