strange CD-ROM error ...

 Hi,

I created a CD-image using mkisofs 1.11.1 with the following command
line parameters:

mkisofs -T -r -v -J -o image-file source-tree

I transfered the Image to a PC where I used Nero to write it using
the Plextor 12x CD-Writer.

The CD is working properly on RedHat Linux and Windows (different
CD-ROM drives). But if I try to mount it on Digital Unix 4.0B/D/F it
is impossible to access the CD. Even more, if I mount the CD with
the following command:

mount -t cdfs -o rrip,ro,noversion /dev/rz4c /cdrom

and do an ls of / or ls /cdrom I get the message "/cdrom not found"
inthe first line of the ls output. If the CD is unmounted I can see
the empty /cdrom directory.

Has anyone seen this yet?

I did another CD yesterday which works fine on the DU workstations.
I used the same procedure. The only difference is, that the one
which is not working contains only one big tar file and no
subdirectories to the CD root directory whereas the otherone does.

Can somebody please tell me if I did something wrong or ift this is
a bug of the DU cdfs ...?

TYIA,

Peter
