NFS server and client problems.

Hi All,

I have a three server cluster (two Alpha 1000's and FreeBSD server). I have problems with NFS clients seeing what the NFS server has mounted(same machine.)

Example. First Alpha is the FTP server and has a partitions nounted from the second alpha. The second alpha has another partiton from the FreeBSD box mounted in side the same directory tree that is mounted on the first server.

    Alpha 1 DU 4.0e

    215.235.250.93:/data 3778704 1225940 2416048 34% /data

    Alpha 2 DU 4.0f

    /usr/home/_at_215.235.250.94 38021197 9512394 25467108 28% /data/Lkr_Usr_

Now if a user on Alpha 1 tried to copy a file to /data/Lkr_Usr_/ed, the files only end up on the second machine hidden under the mount point. Even though the Lkr_Usr_ directory is mouted from the third server.

And idea's or help would be great. I an using the native mount and mountd from both servers. I have not made any changes.

Thanks for any help.
