SUMMARY: passwords inoperable

Thanks to all who responded. I restored the /var/tcb/files/auth.db and
all user passwords are fine now. It seems that the system passwords are
in /tcb/files/auth.db and the users in /var/tcb/files/auth.db so the
restore that I did got all the system passwords back but not the users.

This is a great list....thanks for all the help
