I have an Alpha 4100 running DU 4.0D. In the system box is a BA36R
Storage Works shelf. In the shelf reside the current system disk (rz8), a
backup system disk (rz33), and a TZ89 tapedrive (rz12). One slot is free.
Both disks are 4.3 Gb.
We are adding memory to the system, increasing it from 1 Gb to 2 Gb. I
need to add a larger system disk (9.1 Gb.) to support more swap space.
The 4.3 Gb drives will be moved to another system.
Can anyone say for sure that the new drive can just be pushed into the
Storage Works drawer (ala "hot swap"), so that I don't need to take the
system down to configure this new disk?
TIA.
Bruce.
