What are the ownerships/permissions of the files after they arrive by ftp?
Also what are the export permissions on the nfs share?

Have you check user permissions on these directories ?
Who is owner of them ?
I had checked the ownership of the files......it only just occured to me that to be able to delete files the pc mapping the drive had to be logged on as that user and not "anonymous".
Sorry for bothering you guy's with such a trivial problem and thanks once again.

Dear ALL,
AS4100 v5.0 no PKs (as yet!)
I have setup a NFS mount on a directory.../DATA/APPS/ADAGE
I have shared it for all hosts with read/write access - I know it's not the most secure tight setup but eventually I will have a shed load of users accessing this area. I'm new NFS so forgive me if this question is a little lame.......
Another system FTP's a set files into this directory every night. These files are then processed by a background shell script. I want the users to be able to delete these files after they have finished with them. I was under the impression that with read/write access they would but can't!?!?
Can anyone help? Point in the right direction?
Cheers
Andrew
