Thanks to all who replied:

The correct command was: SET D1 MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER_SIZE = 256 (where D1
is the unit name)

Mark E Hunter was the first to point out that this is specific to a unit and
not the controller. Also, thanks to Paul Thompson for suggesting a different
value. I'll run with the sys_check recommendation for a few days, but if
that doesn't help, I'll try Paul's suggestion of 2048.

My question was:
I'm trying to change some settings on an HSZ80 controller. Sys_check v114
has recommended changing MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER_SIZE from 32 to 256. I'm
using hsxterm to connect to the controller. At the HSZ80> prompt I enter:
SET THIS_CONTROLLER MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER_SIZE = 256 and get a command
syntax error. I checked some old documentation and saw the parameter listed
as MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER, so I tried SET THIS_CONTROLLER
MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER = 256 with the same results. Does anyone know what
the correct parameter name is to change this?
