I've got (or rather had) a working system with 2 DS20 systems, joined by a
memory-fibre channel, and talking to a Raid Array 3000, again over fibre.
The system was talking fine on saturday, when I was installing apache. I
went home, and on sunday, when returning, the DS20s were no longer able to
see the Raid Array.
I connected a serial cable, and was able to administer the array fine from
the console tool that came with it, under NT, or 98, or something. Anyway,
the disk is up. The heartbeat flashes. The siren doesn't scream. The disks
appear fine, the location lights work, and everything like that, but
suddenly, show dev at the blue console screen for the aplhas doesn't display
the disks, which is an issue.
There's probably something very easy that I'm missing, to do with a config
line at the blue screen, where I would normally type 'boot'. I didn't
install the disk array, and haven't really used this blue screen very much,
so it's all new to me. I did (assist) in installing the OS and cluster
software, though, and am pretty happy with that, but can't boot it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Chewy.
