Colour depth on XP1000 workstation

Hi,

This has come from one of our users - after spending quite some time
on it I've come up against a brick wall. Any help much appreciated.
Apologies if the answer is obvious and/or in the manuals ... the
Compaq reseller only supports this card under NT, not Tru64 (or at
least only has knowledge of NT, not Tru64).

The motivation is that the workstation was bought for GIS work which
needs more than 256 colours to be useable, so its a 'real' problem
rather than just out of academic interest.

O/S is Tru64 4.0F

Many thanks
